The number of messages that you are protected from will generally be much higher that the number of messages in your Spam folder.
Even if you have 'quarantine' enabled, most 'spam' is rejected rather than quarantined because the profile of the sending system makes it virtually certain that it is spam, and it may contain harmful content, links, or 'phishing' attacks that can compromise your computer or personal information.
(*Usually these are 'Trojans', 'Bots' or compromised computers)
Also, this helps reduce the volume of spam that will be sent to your address in the future, and it reduces the number of messages to review if you have the Spam Folder (Quarantine) enabled.
To further protect you, we also reject all messages that contain known viruses.
Rest assured, that if you use 'Quarantine On', there will be no legitimate messages 'lost' or 'missing' even if the number of messages blocked appears larger than what you see in your Spam folder.
